“Ryo?” Yamapi asked as he took a seat next to the Osakan man. “Is something wrong?”
“I dreamed of her, Pi.” Ryo answered, his hand was still playing with his beer glass, and the liquor remained untouched.
“The ‘Princess’?”
Ryo nodded weakly. “I dreamed of her, but I couldn’t see her face. It was blurry, but somehow I knew she was beautiful.”
“Eh? How could you not see her face? And how would you know she’s beautiful if you didn’t see her face?” Pi questioned, tilting his head in confusion.
“I told you it was blurry, and I just know!” Ryo couldn’t quite explain. “And I also know that…”He paused for a while, “…that I love her Pi. My heart says that I love her.” Ryo finally turned to face his best friend. “But how come I don’t remember her? How come she hasn’t contacted me? How come you don’t know her? I’ve asked everyone I know, but no one knows her Pi. It’s like she never existed!”
“Maybe she does. Maybe she’s just your imagination.” Pi said, teasing and nudging at Ryo’s shoulder playfully, but Ryo just rolled his eyes.
“I’m the sexy Osaka man, Pi! I don’t have to be delusional to have a girlfriend! I don’t need to!”
“Hey, I said maybe!” Pi chuckled.
“But what if…” Ryo started again, head returned to facing down the table.
“What if what?”
“What if she does not exist…..anymore?”
“What do you mean?”
“In my dream, she….” He paused again, afraid of what was coming from his own mouth next. “She jumped off a building Pi. I tried to stop her, but I was too late. What if she actually has….passed away?”
“Ryo…”
“Oh God! What if the love of my live is gone? I don’t even remember her and now she’s gone?” Ryo started to panic with the thought. What if what happened in the dream was based on reality, what if the girl that he had been looking for really had jumped from a building and died? “Oh God, my head again!” Ryo screamed as he felt the pain in his head again.
“Ryo-chan!” Pi held Ryo’s shoulder in worry. “Stop doing this, Ryo-chan. You’re only hurting yourself.”
“But I have to remember her, Pi! I need to remember her!” Ryo insisted, but his head wouldn’t cooperate and the pain was getting stronger.
“You will Ryo, you will…it just takes time. But you will” Pi promised. “Now let’s go, I better take you home!”
Ryo unwillingly nodded and let Pi help him stand and guided him out of the bar “Thanks Pi.” He murmured.

Ueda woke up early that morning. He prepared lunch again for Ryo and this time he was determined not to let any NEWS member or anyone ruin his plan to have lunch with Ryo again.
He was smiling on his way to the NEWS dressing room, skipping happily as he couldn’t wait to see Ryo again. He stopped in front of the slightly ajar door and smiled when he heard the same voice singing the same song like he heard yesterday. He closed his eyes to remember the sweet memory again. He just loved it every time Ryo played that song for him, the song about Ryo’s love towards him. Hearing the song made him stronger and assured him that he still had a chance. Ryo still had that love deep down inside him, and all he needed to do was bring them to surface so that Ryo could remember and be with him again.
“Who’s there?” the music suddenly stopped as Ryo noticed someone at the door.
“I-umm…I..” Ueda slowly opened the door to reveal himself. He quickly scanned the room. Clear, no pigs. He smiled in relief.
“Donkey face?” Ryo was rather surprised seeing Ueda at the door.
Ueda grinned foolishly, “Yeah I was just-” he didn’t have a chance to finish his sentence as Ryo suddenly cut him off.
“What are you doing there? Stalking me?” Ryo asked with a smirk. Oh how Ueda loved and hated that smirk at the same time.
“No!” came his quick reply which earned a chuckle from Ryo. He hesitated for a while before saying, “I …I just came to bring you this.” he walked closer and put a lunch box on the table. “I want to thank you for yesterday… for the-umm…the lunch.” he smacked himself mentally for being nervous. Those words didn’t come out the way he wanted them to.
“Oh,” Ryo replied. “Thanks, you didn’t have to do it though, but thanks” he added.
“Ye-yeah....” Damn, why couldn’t he say anything besides stuttering?
There was an awkward silence as Ueda opened and closed his mouth repeatedly trying to say something but no words were coming from his mouth. Why was he nervous anyway?
Ryo saw Ueda holding another lunch box. “And that’s for..?”
“Huh?” Ueda didn’t know what Ryo was asking, but then he noticed Ryo’s eyes were on the other box in his hand. “Oh! It-it’s for me…it’s my lunch,” he cursed himself again. Stop stuttering dammit! “I-I was just on my way ….to have lunch.”
“Alone again?” Ryo asked, raising his eyebrows. Ueda nodded and Ryo laughed, “You’re so pathetic!” came the insult but then he put down his guitar and went to the table to grab a seat. “You can have your lunch here.”
“Huh?”
“I said eat here! Are you deaf or something?”
Ueda took the seat rather hesitantly, his hands shaking when he grabbed a chair next to Ryo. He sat himself down with the speed of a turtle, not knowing what to do or say as he was so close to Ryo who was opening the lunch box he prepared for him.
Ryo grabbed a bite of the lunch, “Hmm…it’s good, not bad for someone like you,” he savored the meat ball. “But I have the best recipe for this, you should try it sometimes!”
Ueda did a happy dance in his head as he knew what Ryo was implying. My plan worked! I’m having lunch with Ryo again and he will cook for me next time! He smiled in victory.
“Ne, donkey face.”
“Hmm?”
“Are we still on bad terms?”
“What do you mean?”
“This past three years. I can’t remember anything but,” he stopped to grab another meatball, liking the taste of Ueda’s cooking. He ate them eagerly. “Are we still on bad terms?” he continued.
“You mean are you still insulting me and am I still crying over it?” Ueda chuckled and Ryo nodded. “Kind of, we still fight sometimes, but I don’t cry anymore though.”
“Oh…good then,” Ryo smiled. “I saw Shounen Club Premium the other night. I’m glad you’ve decided to stop trying to be someone else.” Ueda just nodded “I’m glad you decided to be yourself,” Ryo continued. “Even though I still think you look like a girl, but if being a girl means you’re being yourself then…” he took another bite, “Then I think it’s good.”
Ueda rolled his eyes, “I’m not a girl, Ryo!” he protested.
Ryo laughed, “You sure look like one!” Ueda pouted but inside he was smiling like mad.
Much to Ueda’s disappointment, their wonderful moment had to be interrupted as Yamapi entered the room, looking for Ryo. “Ryo! Practice starts in 5 minutes!” Pi said as he found Ryo sitting in the middle of the room, he noticed that Ryo wasn’t alone. “Oh, hey Ueda!” he greeted the KAT-TUN member.
“Hi, Yamashita!” Ueda greeted back, he noticed Pi giving a questioning look at his band mate, but Ryo didn’t get the clue.
“Ryo let’s go, the choreographer is not in a good mood today, I think he woke up on the wrong side of his bed, or probably his boyfriend woke up in someone else’s bed.” He said grumpily. Pi noticed the lunch on the table and boldly took the last meatball from Ryo’s box.
“Hey!” Ryo protested but it was too late as Pi already put the food inside his mouth. He sighed before getting up from his seat. “Okay, just a sec.” he tried to clean up the empty box but Ueda’s hand slapped his away.
“No, leave it. I’ll take care of this, you go ahead.” He told the Osakan.
“You sure?”
Ueda nodded, assuring the younger man to leave the mess to him. “Yeah, you better hurry up to practice now, you know how bitchy a choreographer can be!”
“Okay then, thanks for the lunch!” Ryo gave up and let Ueda clean up. He smiled to Ueda before walking out the dressing room with Pi following him.
“What was that?” Pi asked as they reached the hallway.
“What was what?” Ryo asked back, not knowing what Pi was asking about.
“You were having lunch.” Pi stated obviously as if it was something out of the ordinary. Well it was, to Pi.
“So?”
“With Ueda.”
“Yeah…anything wrong with that?” Ryo turned to face his best friend, raising his eyebrow.
“EVERYTHING is wrong! You guys hated each other’s guts! You two never survived in the same room without bickering at each other. And now you’re eating with him?” Pi was definitely confused. The view he had just seen was a very rare view, the kind he thought he never would see in his entire life knowing Ryo.
“Hey, I can be nice sometimes you know.” Ryo said, with a small laugh.
“Not to him you don’t!”
Ryo didn’t reply back and just laughed, leaving a confused Yamapi behind.
---
“Wow you’re grinning!” Maru asked as Ueda stepped inside KAT-TUN’s rehearsal room.
“Yeah, and just now Jin was grinding too, but against Kame! Eww~ and that’s gross.” Taguchi added, trying to make a pun from the word.
“…”
“…”
“…”
“Anyway, why are you smiling?” Maru resumed his attention on Ueda, ignoring and pretending not to hear Taguchi.
“Why not? Is it a crime now to smile?” Ueda asked back. He put his empty lunch boxes inside his bag, smiling again before zipping the bag close.
“No, it’s just that we haven’t seen you smiling in weeks. Something good happened?” Maru asked again as Ueda stood beside him, positioning himself in the formation.
“Yes, something really good.” Ueda confirmed, smiling widely.
“Good for you then.”

Ryo was sitting in the dressing room alone, he had just finished his practice that night. He was supposed to go drinking with Pi and Jin again, but he couldn’t find Pi anywhere. “Where’s that Yamapig?” He decided to sit and wait in the dressing room. He took a seat on the couch and grabbed his guitar again.
“Ryo!” suddenly Yamapi appeared by the door.
“Yamapi!! I’ve waited here for like an hour! You moron!” He said, sounding upset.
“You’re the moron! I texted you, I was waiting in the car with Jin already.”
“Didn’t get any message.” Ryo replied.
Pi snorted at Ryo’s reply, “Where’s your phone?” He asked and Ryo pointed the table.
Pi walked to the table to grab the phone and opened it. “No wonder! Your inbox is full!” he stated as he checked the inbox folder. “1600 messages Ryo???”
“Yeah well I’m too lazy to erase them.” Ryo said plainly. He put down his guitar and got up from the couch.
“All you have to do is press the delete button!” Pi said, snorting again.
“Yeah well you do it for me,” Ryo said as he passed by Yamapi and tapped his shoulder “I’m going to the bathroom first.”
“Hurry! Jin is waiting in the car. We should go soon before he becomes a boiling shrimp!” he told Ryo and Ryo just waved his hand, signaling he understood.
Pi opened the box and snorted again for the third time. “Geezz what kind of guy keeps 1600 messages in his phone?” he checked the messages in Ryo’s phone one by one.
“From me, me, Jin, me, Tego, his mom, Jin, well I can erase these...” he pressed down the button to see more messages.
“Tego, me, Jin, Jin, Yuu, me, princess, me,…eh?” Pi suddenly stopped, realizing something. “Princess?”
He scrolled down only to find more messages from the name he kept hearing about the past two days. “Princess, princess, princes…they are all for princess!” he learned. “The flooding inbox was because he was keeping this princess’s messages.”
Pi couldn’t help but to feel curious about these messages, and so he decided to open one of them.
Ryo, I’m so happy about last night. Thank you my love
Take care and have a pleasant trip to Osaka
Love you! *kiss*
Hime
Pi looked at the date and time on the message. “It was on the day of Ryo’s accident. So that means…she’s not dead. She’s still alive…but why didn’t she contact Ryo?”
Pi scrolled down and opened another message.
Ryo, I’m sorry. The choreographer-san was being an ass again. he wanted us to stay longer. I might be late. If you’re hungry you can order first, don’t let yourself starve to death waiting for me…^_^
Love you!
Your hime
Choreographer? She’s a dancer? His curiosity was getting him for sure, so he boldly opened another one.
Ryo,
How’s Osaka? I missed you here!
Hime
Pi looked at the sender number, I don’t recognize this number. He grabbed his cell phone and dialed the number to see if it would reveal any name on his screen, but all he could see was just numbers.
I was right, it’s not in my phonebook. Who could she be? Hime? The name sounds familiar though.
“Pi!” Yamapi’s thoughts were disturbed when a high pitched voice was heard from the doorway. “What took you so long? I almost died waiting in the car!”
“Ryo needed to go to the bathroom first.”
“Oh.” Jin walked closer and slumped himself on to the couch.
“Ne, Jin,” Pi started, he didn’t know whether Jin knew the number or not, but it’s worth a try, he thought.
“Hmm?”
“Do you happen to know this number?” Pi showed the number on his phone to Jin.
Jin furrowed his eyebrows to think. “Hmm…It looks familiar, wait… ”Jin took out his phone from his pocket and dialed the number, and a name appeared on the screen.
“Oh, it’s Uebo’s.”
Yamapi’s eyes shot wide.
